Would you allow delivery personnel into your house while you were out ?

Waitrose are trying it out (or trying it on possibly).

It wouldn't surprise me if it contravenes some people's house insurance policies.

I certainly wouldn't do it.
my dogs wouldn't be happy.....can't see why it would contravene insurance if they have your permission and you don't leave the house unlocked
I would never allow this. If anything happened as a result, your insurance company would not pay up.
I don't mind leaving certain workmen in the house for a short period, but would not trust them to lock up.

It is not going to happen here for sure.
No way!!!
More chance of my bum healing up.
Yes I would for here and now, as my Waitrose delivery man is lovely and I trust him. However, I might change my mind in a different situation. It won't happen though as I like to be here to check the substitutes.
No. Fekkin. Way.
I'd be happy for them to do this but I can isolate most of the house because it's just a weird set up. Otherwise no.
Not a cat in hell's chance....
I'm not in need of the service as I'm at home, had a delivery today and the young lady would have put them away if I'd wanted.

If circumstances were different then I'd think again.
Not a chance! Is this "Fake News"? A wind up?
No I wouldn't. How do the deliverers deal with burglar alarm codes? Or does the householder just leave the alarm off if they're expecting a delivery?
Not very secure any way you look at it.
Not for me but I can see others might feel the convenience is worth it. Never ceases to amaze me what folk will accept these days, especially the younger generation. Waitrose has a huge incentive to ensure nothing untoward occurs. Hope the staff prove worthy of their trust.

Absolutely OG, that's why I would give it a go if I needed to, which I don't. They have so much to lose if it goes wrong.
I think some will go for it (not me!) Plenty of people happily hand over their house keys to a cleaner for her to go all over the house. She could easily have these copied but most are trustworthy.

This looks like a one off entry code so that's the only time that person can go in.
