Anyone had good experience of Home Insurance companies?
Most seem to be pretty poor to judge from Trustpilot, so I’d appreciate any positive recommendations.

no, they are not cheap LB. I went with them shortly after my husband died....the renewal from the insurer came in and I looked at the bill and went how much?????
I looked around and all the other insurers that I could find needed chapter and verse on the value of home contents. Marks just asked how many bedrooms, some other standard stuff, individual items over a certain value and gave me a quote which was half of what I was paying....fair enough I also got a first year discount but it was much cheaper. over the last 8 years it hasn't gone up by much either, even after claiming for the laptop.
