Alternative To Estate Agents?
9 Answers
Where I live is stupidly expensive. My old folks want to move up here but everywhere is beyond what they can afford. They need to be central rather than in the outskirts and need to get buses everywhere. Is there a website which people try to sell their houses without involving an estate agent, and so would bring the price down a bit? Has anyone ever done this?

Anyone selling their house is going to look on websites and estate agents sites to get a valuation /estimate, price for what they want to sell. So you will find a private sale price is little less than the estate agent price. (plus more 'trouble') I know people who have looked on an estate agents site and then gone seen the sellers and offered and had accepted a price for a private sale. Usually around 90% of the estate agent price.
