Just thought I'd share that today I bought some pizza bases from Waitrose which are made with 37 percent cauliflower. They tasted the same as normal bases. I used organic tomato puree which was kinda intense, and Violife vegan mozzarella style cheese. I also added cooked chicken and some pepperoni/parma ham. It was actually really nice and the Violife cheese actually melted! It's not quite the same as Dominoes but does a good imitation.

Ta for link, glad it was a success.
Errrr - why bother?
With what?
Why not just buy a Waitrose ready-assembled pizza?
Presumably Scarlett likes to top her own and fancied a change from the usual.
Why use vegan cheese? Just curious.
I'd not have that crust as the whole point of a 'proper' cauliflower crust is to reduce carbs...and for some people, to avoid wheat.

Vegan cheese cos I don't do dairy. I also try to avoid carbs and if I could have bought a completely 100% cauliflower base then I would have! But there wasn't one. And I am a terrible cook and would not trust myself to make a successful one from scratch.
No dairy at all? I've heard that goats cheese is less problematical for some people. Depending of course on why you dont do dairy.

When I want low carb pizza, I make "meatza".

That reminds me...I've not had one in ages. ;-)
I used to get low carb pizza bases but now I just use a wholesale chapatti. Far less and bakes up like an ultra thin and crispy

That meatza looks interesting! I don't do dairy cos I am intolerant. I did the York test and have various auto immune things which are improved if I don't eat it, like asthma, eczema, ulcerative colitis etc. I gave it up once years back and all the snot from the past 30 years which had built up all came out at once (sorry) and ever since then I've been able to breathe through my mouth. If I fast on one day, I wake up and don't need my inhaler. So I know that various foods are my downfall, mostly gluten and dairy!
