Bt Email
2 Answers
I have received an email, seemingly from BT, inviting me to set up BT Call Protect to filter out unwanted nuisance calls. When I hover my mouse over the Sender, it appears to come from [email protected]. If I enter this address into Google it shows that it is one of the most frequent scam emails, alongside known scams like "Your Amazon Account has been blocked..."
Having trained myself to be suspicious about any unexpected emails I forwarded this email to [email protected] and got the standard reply acknowledging my concern. I then deleted the original.
I now wonder if I have over-reacted and would appreciate anyone's confirmation as to whether or not this email is in face genuine.

There's some stuff in there about the correct way to send info to that forum, but essentially the thread confirms it's spam, so you did the right thing.
