I don't think it's too soon at all, Meghan is now in her 38th year, so I'm sure she doesn't want to wait too long and Harry seems to adore kids, so he probably didn't want to wait long either. I'm happy for them both and looking forward to the arrival of a new Royal baby.

It's not that quick compared with other first babies in the Royal family - Diana was married 11 months when she had Prince William and the Queen had Prince Charles a few days before her first anniversary. It was reported that the senior royals were informed at the wedding on Friday - stealing Princess Eugenie's thunder??

Rockrose - why do you doubt it? It did say they told the senior royals so they could quietly have mentioned it to the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William especially bearing in mind they were shortly off to Australia. If she wears a loose fitting coat all the time, that would arouse suspicions of a pregnancy and, similarly, some of the outfits she wears might give the game away.

Because of a number of things
1/ it was a wedding of Harry's cousin and would have been wrong to announce it on the day of the wedding - they probably did it the day before.
2/ I doubt if they even met up before the church service a they all live in different places.

According to the article, they told the senior royals, that doesn't imply announcing it. And why did they have to meet up before the Church service, they were all there at the reception after the wedding.
