I don’t know what’s happening to me and I’m scared. Monday I delivered lots of orders to customers locally. Lastnight I’m going through my order book and checking what orders I’m waiting for and I see a customers name. I’d ticked I’d delivered to her. I had no memory of it. Checked the list and I had absolutely NO memory of seeing any of those customers the day before. Another one txt me last night. I vaguely recognised her name but couldnt place her visually. . So I scrolled through the whole conversation and realised I’d only been at her house last week and that I’d been there many times.
This morning I wanted to check something on my mobile so I thought I’d call the house phone. Went to dial it and I had absolutely no idea what it was. Sat there and just could not remember. You’re all just going to say go to the doctor but I’m sat here really scared and upset and don’t know what to do or think right now.
This has only been the past week, not even that.

sudden memory loss is NOT typical of alzheimer's

Please can we be more mindful of the categories certain posts are in.
It IS typical of extreme tiredness though. Last year I had no recollection of having filmed whole scenes of something across days because I was running on about 3 hours sleep per night for a while, and I'm much younger than you. I don't have Alzheimers and you don't either, it's not the right sort of memory loss or onset for it, but stressing will only make it worse. I was so stressed and convinced I was having a nervous breakdown that it wasn't until I slept properly I realised that that was what was causing it. Try to relax and to put your mind at ease go and see your Dr. x
Book a holiday, you sound as if you need one.

Smow- I have been experiencing a similar thing. I have completely forgotten names of people I have worked with for a long time, and my brain seems to give me words which are wrong, but sound a bit similar to the one I am looking for. I often can't remember AT ALL what I did this morning and have to ask someone else. This has only happened in the last few weeks. I know I am very stressed at the moment, and also I believe it might be my age (48)/hormones. I also have been trying to eat less, and fast a bit, so that may have altered things too. Sounds like you are stressed and racing around, and your brain is lagging behind a bit. Try and do some relaxation techniques- yoga/massage/swimming/singing and try not to worry. In the meantime see your GP to stop yourself worrying and making your insomnia worse!
I am sure it is gonna be OK
the sudden severe memory loss you have described sortta creeps back.
think you need more than a call to doc in the morning, its not life threatening but call 101 to have an an assessment over the phone will maybe ease your mind. call now please
