For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Simply go the supermarket and insert your disk into the self-service machine. You'll then see clear instructions as to how to proceed. In most supermarkets you can choose to order the images to be printed for collection a few hours (or days) later or, for a higher price, have the machine print them directly for you.
If in doubt, just ask the staff. That's what they're there for!

With some, like this - http://www.snappysnaps.co.uk/ - you can upload the photos online.
Hang on a moment!
What is it that you've actually put onto a DVD-R? Have you simply put the photographs on or have you put a presentation containing those photographs onto the disk? Unless you've got some sort of 'slide show' mode selected in whichever program you use to view the pictures, you shouldn't see any images changing unless you do something to make it happen!
If your disk contains lots of individual files then you've simply transferred the images (and the supermarket should have no problem with them). If it's only got a single file on it then you appear to created some form of presentation, from which the supermarket will probably be unable to extract single images.
