I think international is the clue.

If memory serves I remember Plantagenet being a Skeleton answer.

AhThanks danny. I thought the crossword was from the International Express. I'm sure your answer is right a syour memory is good but I can't see how it fits the clue- maybe The title builder ha soverwritten all but one word of the clue.

Unusual for the Skeleton to have a one word clue.

International is a red herring- maybe a different clue or the edition of the Express. The actual clue was "house design with gate alternative remaining"

Maybe it's a different clue as the Plantagenet one came from Sunday Express Skeleton Sunday October 7Th 2018- or maybe the international express reuses the Sunday skeleton's clues

The International Express is the paper!

In Thailand I can get a copy of this paper. It is a weekly paper published by the Express on Wednesday's for expats living abroad and covers all the news, stories etc of the previous week. The puzzles are a selection of the ones in the Daily and Sunday Express also!

I see my thread which explained the problem with the title builder which deletes clues has been removed now. I hope Ed saw it before it went

FF, I don't think the title builder overwrites clues.I didn't on your test thread.

It did get overwritten. I put the clue in the title box and it was replaced by International Express.
Okay I was wasting my time trying to help- even though I pointed out it was test and expected people to ignore it I just got complaints and the post was deleted so Ed may never know.
