I'm sure they're both easy peasy but I can't seem to get my brain in gear today - must be the heat !!

Thanks Kayakamina but each number stands for a letter which spells a word - you need to see the Express to read the passage it comes from - it's too long for me to type here ! Thanks anyway .

Thnaks but I'm probably not explaining myself very well . The puzzle is as follows :-

In the following passage , the numbers 12345 each represent a different letter .

" It's a 12345 " said the 2112345 villager above the 323345 of the pub . " A 155345 story to 321145 and scare " . " How do I find him ? " I asked , a little relieved . " Oh , just follow the 541 to the castle and ask for the mad scientist's 423 " .
