In the longer BBC News pips/opening thingy/whatever it’s called, I know who all the reporters are, but I don’t know who the woman with short hair is who is in a sheep pen, and I don’t know who the man is that’s on the red carpet with the entertainment correspondent.

And who is the woman with the bleached hair and long face in the Pantene advert?
I assume she’s a sports person.

Steph McGovern is well known to regular viewers of BBC Breakfast news. She has also presented consumer shows on prime time BBC1 and BBC2 and is guest host for tonight's episode of Have I Got News For You.

Thank you. I have heard of him, but never seen him in anything.
I suppose he’s well known (but not by me!) if he’s on the red carpet.

As for Steph McGovern, I don’t watch breakfast telly or consumer shows, so that’s why I didn’t know her.

You’ve solved my mystery. Having seen both so many times on the ‘pips’ I was curious as to who these people were.
