Meter Reading

Had a SSE smart meter. Changed supplier 3 months ago but have no idea how to get a meter reading. Electric and gas meters. Nothing is showing on the screen where you read. Any advice appreciated.

Is there a make ans model number?

I'm sure I've seen reports that smart meters don't necessarily transfer from the provider that installed them to a different one. Second generation ones are supposed to do but if yours is old it might not do.
