it looks like a marketplace for individual traders to sell stuff, but some of those reviews suggest Etsy itself won't do much to help if things go wrong. Probably too busy working for the long term health of the ecosystem.

I used to sell on Ebay I don't anymore I sell on ETSY all over the world. They have a feedback system like EBay but the stuff is more 'niche'.You can have things custom made on a lot of items. I bought a lovely tin to put my cats collar in when she was killed by a car. The lady printed part of a painting I had done of her on the lid,it was lovely. The people on ETSY are really nice and tend to buy and sell on there for different reasons than EBAY. I would not hesitate to buy anything from ETSY and customer service is based in Ireland and you can get through really easily.
