I`ve received a couple of emails from friends in Canada and I`m not able to see the pictures which are supposed to be there. All I get is a little red x in the box where they should appear and when I try right click to open them, there`s no means of doing it. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks In-A-Pickle, I`m a bit naive here...do you mean by `picture programs` the like of Photo Impact/Powerpoint Viewer/Paint? I recall this happening last summer when they went to their summer cottage and used a different isp. Could that be relevant?
Tried that to no avail. Even tried sending it to my Yahoo address and back again, but no luck. Forgot to mention that the pictures are in the body of the mail and not attachments.
Most of my suggestions have already been made, but you could try going to TOOLS then Click OPTIONS. On the READ tab make sure that the 'Read all messages in plain text' isn't ticked. That's about the best I can offer.
Thanks for all the suggestions, even though none has been successful! I shall contact them again and ask them to resend when they return to their normal computer from where I don`t get the problem.
Ask them to put the pictures into a zip file and attach the zip to an email. Then you'll be able to download the zip file from the email and will have the pictures.
If your email provider will only allow them to send a limited size email to you (10MiB, for example), then use something like this site to send the zip to you: http://www.sendover.com/
