itunes and mp3 players

can you download stuff bought on itunes onto any Mp3 players..my mate reckons not

I'm pretty sure you can only use iTunes to put songs onto iPods, not 100% sure though.

i have an ipod i have bought songs and music video's from itunes you can put them onto your ipod like you do your normal cd's and it stays in itunes to. but i can't see any reason why you can't transfer music onto a normal mp3 player best way out finding out is to try it.
