Further to my post yesterday, I am reliably informed that our group will be in the first column to march off, which is quite an honour, as we are usually near the back of the last column. We might even get some TV coverage and a mention from David Dimbleby. If you're watching, look out for me wearing my cap with HMS Glorious on. Then again, the BBC might not show our group at all. But the important thing is the act of remembrance.
One thing that I won't be seeing because of my London trip will be the remembrance parade in Middleton, Nth Manchester, where I live. This year, the entire ships' company from HMS Middleton will be taking part. I'll be sorry to miss that but it's a great thing that they are doing it and I'm sure they will receive warm appreciation.
