I caught myself on the way out today
I know I was wearing black, but with very dark hair hanging from a centre parting, and I was so pale I looked like Severus Shape
Well girls we all like to channel our inner movie star but I shouldn't think Alan Rickman is the first name that springs to mind.
Hair colour has been bought along with new blusher.

There were four of us, all wearing the wrong colours, especially near our faces. We each watched the other being transformed and we were so shocked. I wish I had done it years earlier. Too many people think black suits them even when it drains the colour from their face. Try dark grey instead, or wear black trousers or skirts. Buy this book, not the later one, and some of you will be so surprised at what a difference the right colour can make. To give you an idea, Neil Kinnock would be a Spring (bright), Princess Diana was a Summer (muted), Meghan Markle is a Winter plus all black people are Winter and can wear bright colours and someone with dark red hair would be Autumn (muted). I still have the little sample book of colours suited to me although I know them by heart now.

Well I hadn't looked in a mirror properly since last Tuesday......the mirrors in our apartment must have been put up by a giant....
I could see the top of my head in the bathroom mirror if my hair had some bounce in it and the only other thing bouncing was me trying to put on some makeup...
When I'm in charge of the world only short people will be allowed to hang mirrors.... :-(

I tried that and I had coppery hair at the time and she said because of my pale pinky skin she thought I was more likely a summer then I put a dark wig on and she said winter. Another consultant said I was lucky and so long as I avoided the real winter brights I could wear pretty much what I like. My skin tone changes with the seasons, and she was right, the only things that I can't wear are hot pinks, blue purples, and pure white, and black. Although I do wear black with other colours.
Sometimes when I look in the mirror I just see my mum.
My daughter looks in the mirror and sees me..
I printed off some black & white photos of me, mum and my daughter. The daughter thought it was 3 photos of her. It really wigged her out. She couldn't tell the difference between the three of us.
She was stopped walking down the street in Ireland and asked if she was related to me :-)

Like Tilly, I have also noticed how less old I look when I smile. It's like an instant face-lift! So whenever I'm out, I try and smile as much as possible! (In context, though, not in a creepy way! Hahaha!)
My natural, 'in neutral' expression has always been 'sad', though, so I try and just lift the corners of my mouth slightly, not enough to full produce a smile, more of a Mona Lisa look! It works for passport photos too.
