It probably is a publicity stunt. I suspect the EU rules on hygiene have something to say about allowing dogs in shops - apart from guide dogs that is.

If there is no food being prepared, handled or stored on the premises, then there is no restriction which prevents a dog entering the pub or shop. If dogs are not allowed in that particular pub or shop then it is the owners own policy and not due to “health and safety” regulations.

sorry can't see it myself, these animals should be in kennels, or with their wretched owners not shunting around in a store, shedding who knows what on the furniture.

When I've been to various countries in Europe people feed stray cats and dogs.

If this IS true spath, I think it's lovely and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest as I love dogs so much.

Two things bother me about this....

1- Why are there so many strays in the first place?

2- I'd rather they were allowed in during the night, when it's colder, than during the day where some people might get precious about being there when they are.

The more logical thing to do would be to capture, and sent to appropriate kennels where they can be neutered and hopefully rehomed in proper homes. Then they need to re-evaluate their stray dog policy as it's obviously not working!

That being said, I have to admit I'd make a special trip to that particular Ikea just to see them!
