how hard is it to become a journalist? do you have to be good at maths?

It's apparently very difficult to get a foot-in-the-door to start with. Obviously your English has to be good, it helps if you have experience of writing articles, and a clean driving licence is a plus. It might be worth trying to gain work experience, volunteer at a local 'paper or start submitting pieces to them to get yourself known, and then hope it becomes a regular paid position.
