My cat has had some small coughing-fits over recent weeks - she's fine in every other way apart from this. Usually its a dry coughs, but other times its as is she needs to cough something up. The other day the cats were chasing each-other around outside and she stopped and started coughing - she's done this 2/3 times now. I'm asthmatic myself, so seeing her cough when she gets out of breath is making me wonder. The vet gave me some hairball treatment, but she hates the stuff and is usally sick whenever I manage to get some down her. Any ideas ?

If it's hairballs try Hills Hairball Control dry food. It's quite expensive but very effective as the hairballs come out the other end. Mine also really like the stuff so no problems getting it down them.

Hope she's ok.
