What a tragic story, I do hope that poor little baby Reuben survives.

Could it have been a tragic accident, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are generally placid dogs in fact they are called 'Nanny dogs' because they are good with children.

I thought it to be a little over the top for the poor parents to be arrested and placed in hand cuffs, what do others think?

Spath - I have both cats and dogs, and I know what I am talking about. When people come to our house, it is necessary to lock the cats in a room, following an attack (on an adult) but the dogs are friendly with everyone. In the main, cats do whatever they want, but dogs will obey!
And what does that comment prove? Or how does it add to the thread?

It's simply another "opinion"..
JJ, untill they won't.

/// they can't be let out because they're dumb and will run away, ///

They are far from dumb, my Son's dog once got free from his garden and while my son was out searching for him, the dog managed to find it's way to our house over 4 miles away.
How do you know it got 4 miles away?
All hail baldric the canine expert.

Dooo!!! because my house was at that time 4 miles from my son's house.

How did you think it got here, hitched a lift, got on a bus or hailed a taxi?

This thread is becoming hilarious, due to a couple of people with little or no knowledge of dogs dishing out 'opinions' like they are experts.

By calling out those you do not consider are experts, then you must be an expert to have determined that.
