Role of the moderator

Come on Ed....sort this problem with posting out....this'll have to be done over two posts as the site crashes with one bigger post :o(

So we have our first mod. So why so secretive about the identity ?

I was under the impression that mods are here to take the weight off Ed's shoulders by being available to answer questions and to edit posts and settle certain disputes on the forum

I mod on another forum with a quater of the posts here and we have 8 mods. We are highly visible and there to deter any hastle as well as rectify it. We have the powers to move, delete and edit posts, ban people for 1 or 2 weeks and to give warnings as well as providing info about the forum and keeping it running smoothly.

Can't be that difficult surely

suspect they don't have the money for that kind of thing, especially with the falling price of yak butter. As for being secretive, it's probably to stop the wilder element of AB users from turning up outside her front door with flamethrowers.

Everyone knows it is me.The ED let it slip on Friday but cleverly deleated her post.I recieved an e mail telling me I had been chosen because I get the most answers out of all the ABers (dop a search on my username if you do not believe me).

hammerman if there are eight mods on yir site and you have 25% of the posts we have, that means that even wi an extra pair of hands to help, between them, ABE and the The Other Mod are doing 16 times as much work as you do as a mod. Do you not think it better to let TOM settle in?
