Hyperlinks
5 Answers
My hyperlink has stopped working on AB. It works in Outlook and Word so why not here? It always has in the past and I can't understand why it won't now.
www.bbc.co.uk
http://www.bbc.co.uk
Strange thing is when I go to preview, the http:// version above does appear as a hyperlink but usually both versions appear as I type them.
Any suggestions please?

There may be some coding in Word etc. that recognises www type entries as hyperlinks, but that isn't the case here, it's HTML all the way.

It might be helpful to memorise the way of adding the tags necessary to create clickable links with HTML, you'll remember after the first couple of times:
enter < a target='_blank' href="http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk" > AnswerBank< /a > which will appear as AnswerBank if you leave the spaces out that appear after the <'s and before the >'s. AB will add the target='_blank' from the above example, you don't need to type it in.

Thanks for your helpful replies Ralph. The point I am making is that when I type http://answerbank.co.uk it does not come up as a hyperlink UNTIL I click on preview whereas previously any of the methods would come up highlighted in blue and underlined, as I type them. I will send this as an answer and see if the hyperlink works now.
Which obviously hasn't , so one final time http://www.bbc.co.uk which as you say does work. Although I cannot see it working as I go along. Thanks again.
