Lorex Cctv System

I walked into the lounge on Tuesday and there was a buzzing noise coming from around the TV area but I couldn't determine where it was coming from. I switched my CCTV on and the 4 cameras were displayed on the monitor. my wife said the buzzing sound was coming the CCTV DVR so I switched it off and the buzzing stopped, I switched the CCTV back on but it didn't come on and whereas there was 2 lights showing on the front of the DVR, there is now only the PWR light on it and it doesn't turn on any more. I have checked the monitor and all the cables and everything is fine. Do any of you brainy A.B'ers have any bright ideas what could be wrong with it PLEASE?

Broken video recorder. May have been arcing inside, or transformer vibration. I assume you've checked fuses etc.. Take to shop to test ?
