John Lennon was murdered..remember that morning like yesterday....I was drying my hair getting ready to go to work when I heard the news on Radio 1..where were you ?

I was in my late 20's. I felt sad at another murder, but think I was indifferent to it being Lennon whom I did not like.

At sea on a supertanker outside the Gulf. Dh came into to the cabin and told me he had just heard the news from the pilot.

I`m reading Philip Norman's biography of Paul McCartney at the moment. Last night I reached the part where John Lennon died. He fought for so long to be able to live in New York and his application was finally agreed. How ironic that if they had turned him down, he would probably be alive today.

I'm a Beatles fan but I can't remember John Lennon being murdered. I'm not old enough to remember.
