My son has qualified for EMA payments weekly. When he enrols in the sixth form takng his contract (one part to be kept by the school and the other part to be kept by him) do I need to be there too as I will be away or will he be okay to do this himself.

No - or so my son tells me!
no you don't need to be there, im in the second year at 6th Form and last year i just took it myself no parent intervention needed!!!!!!!

Thanks for that - how exactly does it work then? I thought it was only a new thing this year - glad I heard about it though!!!
no it was new last year... or it could have been new 2 years ago i couldnt really say
