Waking up sweating
8 Answers
One of my colleagues says that he always wakes up sweating in the morning, even though he's been motionless all night. He'd like to know why this is so, when surely being motionless would cause you to cool down (no-one else I know has this problem !) ?

I went to bed a few weeks ago (when it was really hot) I had all the windows open and I'd got the place as cool as possible. Managed to cool right down to go to sleep...woke up at 4am sweating my bo*locks off!
I remember waking with a start and was feeling quite flustered so it might have been the result of a bad dream.

Just a thought, maybe total tosh really, but when you are sleeping your resting and consuming energy. I wonder if whilst sleeping so much energy builds up as heat and is what causes the sweats?
My husband wakes up most mornings sweating and hot but he is on a lot of medication so we put it down to that. Is he on any meds?
