A famous old club like Huddersfield finally
in the premiership, playing a glamour game
against Arsenal, and discarded their traditional
blue stripped shirts to play in yellow.
They may not be the team of yesteryear but
please try to look like them.

I'm totally against it and think that all clubs should use their first kit wherever possible. There was a glaring example of this recently. I think it was Arsenal playing away in their 2nd kit when they had no need at all. But money rules this game. The love of money. Not only rules it, but will eventually ruin it.
Another example of this tonight in the Everton v Watford game. Watford, normally yellow shirts, black shorts. Everton, blue shirts, white shorts. However, Watford were playing in all green. Why? There was no colour clash.
___________
Could be wrong but I believe this was addressed some years ago when supporters clubs asked the same. I think the answer was that the kit makers(Admiral or whoever etc) have a deal whereby each change strip must be worn a certain amount of times in order to generate sales.

It’s a shame about the varied kick off times but least the money generated from foreign tv goes to grassroots, the FA being a not for profit organisation.
It does take away from the competition tho.
The away strip thing is silly but can’t get too worked up about it: there have always been oddities relating to kit: the 1980 cup final for example saw both Arsenal and West Ham in their away kits - Coleraine v Ards on Saturday had the home team having to wear their away kit as the visitors’ home and away kit both clashed with the home team’s kit!
