I posted it because, although it made me laugh, it is showing a dog who is not happy. I have not regaled anyone.

As I said, those types of video show dogs whose owners can't really understand their dogs.

I think you need to be able to psychologically assess a dog to be able to own one. IE, prove you know it's basic needs / moods and signs of these.

Thankfully, unhappy animals never make me laugh.....I've not looked at the video as I've seen it before. Not funny at all -look at the poor dogs eyes.

Dog yawns can be a sign of relaxation in dogs, also a sign of stress. happy yawns are like happy tail wags, the muscles are relaxed and the eyes are soft. This dog's face muscles are tight. Its pretty much the same as people. People yawn, smile and so on when they are feeling stressed and uncomfortable as well as when they feel happy and relaxed.

In my view, a lot of the "humourous" clips on Youtube are blatant abuse of animals [and] children (as were some "You've Been Framed" submissions).

Seriously? How does a cat just 'fall off a table' to command. Was the person just waiting for days with their phone until the cat fell of the table? No, animals are aggravated to the point they do something that is worthy of you tubing. I could poke one of my horses with a stick until it pulled the most horrendous faces then dub it over with a 'humorous' voice. I may get thousands of hits for 'sidney snotbox or 'grumpy horse'. That would not make it funny or cruelty free.
As it is one of my horses does pull the most horrendous faces behind your back which I find very funny as he stops the minute I turn around, but its not provoked, its natural.

It depends what you are laughing at doesn't it? Provoking or aggravating an animal for a good video is not funny. Training animals to do tricks willingly , then filming them , can be.
