Which Virtual Reality Headset For An Iphone?

I am thinking of buying a virtual reality headset as a gift for someone. I think he might like using it to watch movies, but he could hate it too! So I'm looking for suggestions of a cheap introductory level headset which he could trial and then if he liked it he could invest in a better one.
He uses an iphone and as i said it would mainly be for watching movies rather than playing games.
