garden bug bites

i was working in the garden all day today and when i came in i had this huge bite it has swollen up real bad and the musele really hurts and it seems to be getting worse does anyone know of the bug that might have done it such as a spider maybe?

are you sure it's not a Horse fly that did it? they are very painful,try taking an anti-histamine tablet,like Zirtek or piriton that might help, good luck, Ray
I was just about to post pretty much the same as Ray, so i'll agree with him instead, yes its most likely to be a horse fly bite, thats assumming your in the UK. They tend to like the taste of my blood too, sometimes its a couple of days before the swelling go's down. Wish you well. T bird.

Are you sure it isn't a spider bite? They are sneaky little critters - and can be dangerous. My vote is to let the doctor check it out.
I'm afraid I agree with BBWCHATT..I had an unexplained soreness & swelling on my hand once from a little what I thought was a sting off something..(I didnt see what ) my hand all swoll up quite bad & as it got more painful I went to the A&E Dept. & the doctor said that it could well of been a spider bite! I was given anti-histamine & anti-flammatries which did the trick but it was painful for a little while!
