Headphones V Ear Defenders For Autistic People

Hi,

One of my daughters teachers has said she can wear headphones when the class gets too noisy and too much for her but we don’t know what sort it get.

I am assuming those used for sensory reasons aren’t normal headphones but the ear defenders I remember are for on building sites and noisy factories.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 15 yr old please.

I'd have thought it would be worth considering active noise-canceling earbuds. Instead of trying to block external sounds, they generate an out if phase version of the noise, which effectively cancels it.
The advantages are that they are much less intrusive than ear defenders, and if course could also be used as earphones.
