Texted my ex mother in law (who ive stayed friends with) this morning to wish her a happy xmas.
Got a phone call to tell me that she died early hours of this morning.

I still love crimbo kval, off to my sisters shortly for dinner but its certainly put a dampner on it.

Thanks for replies. Just got back home after a quiet xmas at my sisters watching TV.
As I said, she was my ex mother in law but we remained good friends since I split from my partner 7 yrs ago, kept in touch on the phone frequently, met for coffee together, did her DIY jobs when needed. She was one of the best. Only spoke to her a few days ago, was on the phone for over an hour. And we always texted or phoned each other on xmas day. Was a shock to be told (by her ex husband) that she had died this morning. Never a good time to hear of the passing of a friend but always seems a bit more sad when its at xmas.

Bananasplits, 27 is far to young, very very sad.

Anyway life goes on and thanks for replies.
