Hi there I was wondering what people thought of the Queen's Speech yesterday. I was impressed with it

Didn't watch it, myself, but according to the ratings, it was the most watched programme on the day. Surely that's just because most folk just have their televisions switched on throughout the entire day. Don't think there are that many of HM's subjects who believe there is much significance in any of her Christmas Day 'messages'.

We dont have the TV on on Christmas day, never have, and hence not listened to the speech. I'm fond of her, but I havent considered listening to the monarch addressing her subjects on Christmas Day.

Yes, on one side it seems that it is good to try and reconcile our differences, however a billionaire sat in a Palace preaching to the surfs who fund their lifestyle is perhaps a little bit of a problem?

I notice that the left wing rag the "Mirror" went into meltdown about the gilded piano that was in the background calling it a "gold" piano.

Just a point has not the German equivalent of the Mirror, der Spiegel, just been exposed for printing downright lies and fabrications for decades? No fanfare about that though. Birds of a feather and all that.
