I for one am totally fed up with all the rules and I will always from now on - try and help as much as I can, whereas previously I used my discretion whether to answer or not based on compiler's comments and the length of time to closing date.

You can point that out Angie - I have no problems with that. I have problems when the OP is sniped at for not doing so, or for not doing what the rules enforcers like. I regard this as bullying and do not like it!

Such is life Mamyalynne. Your attitude and mine at times are poles apart - like you say, we just have to live with it. You don't agree with me at times, and I don't agree with you at times - but I shall not fall out with you (at least not yet!)

The rule enforcers should be the AB team, but they choose not to do so. It begs the question why have the rules in the first place if the management won’t enforce them?

To be fair to the team Angie, they give guidelines and they trust us to abide by them, anything against Site Rules (available bottom of page} can be reported, but this doesn't fall into that category.

It's a courtesy to other quizzers.

On that point Angie - I totally agree with you. The heading should have a box with closing date, and the name of the quiz and it should not be allowed to post if those fields were not completed.

They also though should enforce their rule that nothing should be posted to deter askers from asking.

If AB management did both these things there would be no animosity on this site.

When there was a discussion about this a couple of years ago, the old editor said he was going to create some sort of box to force people to enter quiz name, closing date, etc. as for crosswords. With all the different quizzes there are, I did feel this would be an almost impossible task. Clearly, it didn’t happen, unfortunately.

Interesting points, a title builder would be very awkward in quizzes I fear, lots struggle with it in crosswords already - though of course it's not compulsory there.
