Hi - can anyone help me with Question 12 in this year's Whitaker's Almanac 2019 quiz?
"I come directly after gallantry, but before distinguished conduct. What am I?"
I know it relates to orders of chivalry but which page?
Many thanks!

Don't think it can be Royal Red Cross as that is followed by Distinguished Service rather than Distinguished conduct. My guess is either: 1. Royal West African Frontier Force Or 2. The word "and" as in title of section (medals for gallantry and distinguished conduct). Seems very bizarre though.

Isn't the answer just...medal?
Royal Red Cross?

Ribbon?

Thanks Tilly2. Could be 'Royal Red Cross' but a bit ambiguous on the page number?
