Hi, Can anyone inform me if it is ok to place a small freezer on top of another smell freezer rather than buying a bigger one?

Crazy idea- buy a bigger freezer with the same capacity of the other two or more because after 3 years running two freezers will cost your more than one in electricity costs

as long as all vents are clear I don't see why not ?? presuming it will have wee feet on the bottom for some kind of clearance ?
Will the lower freezer be able to take the weight of the top one is the only thing i would worry about
What type of freezer?
i'd keep the rarely wanted items in the bottom one if it's a chest freezer
If they're small, probably. If you start to see cracks on the lower one, or if the upper one keeps sliding off and dashing to the floor, may be worth considering separating them.

I've a 'tabletop' fridge on top of a normal freezer, and that's been ok. (Might be worth checking the Net for stacking kits if worried about the weight, or movement. Or consider building a frame yourself.)

The one going on the top is smaller than the bottom one by about 50% and there are no vents on the top of the lower freezer. Also they both have front opening doors.
The vents will be at the back
What do you mean by "smaller"? Lower volume or smaller width x depth (footprint)?
I would be worried about putting one with a smaller footprint on top of one with a larger footprint without putting (say) a piece of worktop on top of the lower one to make sure the weight is applied close to the edges. Something like Velcro sticky pads to fix the worksurface to the lower freezer and the upper freezer to the worktop should prevent slippage.

Just to clarify, the width and depth are almost identical. The only difference between the two units are that the bottom one is 85cm high and the one for the top is only 50 cm high.
