For newcomers to the site

Would it be benificial for everone if there was a FAQ's heading on the left hand side which would show people who are new to the site how to go about posting ( especially ALL questions together ) and how to check to see if their question hasn't already been answered . Also how or why to award stars . There is one box that I don't understand and that is when you look at the anwers and it say " do you want to subscribe to this " . I am a relatively newcomer myself and still finding my way around by trial and error without trying to upset anyone . Any thoughts from anyone please ? Regards

subscribing to a question just means that (in theory) you will get an e-mail whenever there is a new reply on that thread (though it never works properly) and there is a FAQ section. It's in red at the bottom of the page

The FAQs can be found at the bottom of the page, in red, next to the Site Rules.
