Tilly2 - No.80, if you haven't sorted it yet, is not risk. I think it's SEVENS. First letter of Safety, then the lady EVE and then extremes NORTH and SOUTH.
I do like to see the frustration and also co-operation involved by you all to solve the final bits of this quiz...
Our morning mail arrived... even more Quiz entries... don't forget, the deadline to get your entry to us is 12 noon this Saturday! Best wishes to all taking part and thank you for your generous donations... every £1, £2, £5 and £10 makes a huge difference to those who contact ChildLine - the beneficiary of all funds raised... Jonathan Hammond... The Setter!
Can I just ask why you have changed your mind from your opinion in 2017. Over half of the answers have been given away this time a lot by people who will not be donating to the charity. I am not looking for an argument with those asking or answering before anyone thinks that I am just asking the setter
Your comment then was this
Whoa whoa whoa.... hold on a bit... whilst I can understand a couple of answers being traded or assistance requested on this site... can we refrain from putting 'most' of the Clues on this site for general assistance... if not, a list of answers appearing on this site would possibly take away some of the fun for those who spend hours and hours trying to solve it and, possible more importantly, the hours and hours spent creating such a devilishly clever Quiz... thank you.
My only source of puzzlement is why, when you are given all the answers, you need to go on a question and answer site at all?
Even if you have made an error somewhere, surely it would only be a matter of elimination to get back on track?
If I remember, my comment back in 2017 related to 'someone' putting up about 21 questions asking for help within the first few weeks of the luanch of the Quiz... I thought that a little too much... and duly commented.
As we get to the deadline of this Saturday at noon... I am encouraged to see the last minute 'panic' over Christmas and New Year of those trying to solve before the cut-off. If this swapping and 'hinting' in some cases (at the last minute) results in even more entries with donations coming in to a Charity Fundraising Quiz... then only ChildLine benefits. Every call a child makes to ChildLine costs £4... the more entries, the better... every call matters!
Your comment in 2017 was on the 12th January and it closed on 14th January. Obviously you are presuming that only those who think they have it all correct will enter otherwise if they had enjoyed it they could have donated and sent it in with blanks. Thanks anyway for replying. Your quiz your choice. Win some lose some I guess
