Dry Skin on Face, Shoulders & Arms

I usually get a little bit of dry skin on my face and E45 usually controls this but since the winter it seems to have broke out in different places.

My Shoulders and top of the arms are blochy and red and if I don't moisturize my face twice a day its all flaky the next day.

I haven't changed my washing power so unknown of the cause. I'm currently using Nivea Care and that seems to be helping the face slighty but my arms are still itchy and red.

Does anybody have any suggestions of what to use to control it?

Me too! exactly the same problem, it started on my face, really flaky and I thought it was maybe the really cold wind that we've been having but that doesn't account for the dry skin on covered up bits. I've thought of shower gel, shampoo, all sorts of things, be interesting to see what other people think.

I had a similar problem. With me it was vitamin deficiency and drinking too much coffee and tea and not enough water. Since I changed my diet it has been absolutely great. I very rarely use soap on my face and if I do I use Dove. Applying moisturising cream for the night also helped.

Get some Diprobase cream from the chemist . You can use it all over .It forms a barrier on the skin and acts as an emollient.
Stops itching and contains no lanolin. This was recommended to me by another AB user and since using it my skin has really improved. Wonderful for red itchy hands.

Too much tea and coffee and not enough water could easily be my problem. I'll get some of that cream shaneystar2 and see what it does for me. Good luck to you too Tel.
