Look at the tops of the News Boards for the 50th clue. I have got Picnic at Hanging Rock for the woman in white with the parasol.
Thanks, Ladybyrne.
You're welcome Midnighter. Good luck.
Which one of the news boards? The things I keep thinking with those are only 2017 not 2018!
Ahhhh got it thank you!
I'm not happy with two of the answers given here. What is HELP WANTED to do with The Apprentice? Why is the ear in the snow associated with Trust? On that one, I understand there was a right ear cut off involved in a ransom, but was that incident shown or referred to in 2018?
Question Author
Trust was a 10 part tv programme shown on bbc 2 in 2018 in which you saw Paul Getty have his cut off
I am really struggling with one clue. The portrait of a woman in a mustard coloured dress. "Ordeal by Innocence" has been suggested as the answer. I didn't see the series so I don't understand how the clue ties in with "Ordeal by Innocence". With regard to the woman with the parasol I would probably opt for "Picnic at Hanging Rock" although I cannot recall the girls having parasols in the 2018 BBC version. It could be artist licence on the part of the illustrator.
Not convinced woman with yellow dress in portrait is in ordeal by innocence, googled and can't find pic. And woman with Paracelsus in white.... she had blond hair in the series so those two are only ones I'm not sure of.
The portrait of a woman can be seen on the BBC iPlayer site, although the series is not available to view:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09ytrgg
shows a 30 second clip with it.
Dave-W. Many Thanks. I assume that the woman in the portrait is Rachel Argyll (Anna Chancellor). Rachael Argyll appears to be fond of yellow looking at some of the interior photographs of the house.
Thanks Dave. Dam preditive text met parasol. Going for woman in white.
Hi All, I think I have them all except the Help Wanted one...I am thinking The Apprentice but am not sure - can anyone help? Thanks!
I searched for "picnic at hanging rock" in Google Images, and the first one shows two girls with suspiciously similar hair and dress, but I can't find any with a parasol.
I think most people think 'Help wanted' is the apprentice. I agree can't find pic with parasol for ' picnic.....'
Thanks for the confirmation re: The Apprentice. I have gone for Picnic at Hanging Rock for the lady in white with parasol as I seem to remember a scene where they were walking out with those - also there is a rock/cliff next to her in the Big Picture....
Or is it an old wall she is walking towards...tricky!! Wonder if they will accept either Woman in White or Picnic at Hanging Rock since it really is ambiguous?
Whichever you go for I wish you Good Luck!
I am now convinced that the woman in the white dress does relate to "Picnic at Hanging Rock" I have revisited the picture and as WildMuse suggests to the right of the woman there is definitely a rock formation covered in white Christmas lights. I have checked and double checked all my answers and the online entry form. It was a painfully slow process the page was very slow responding. I always look forward to the BIG PICTURE QUIZ it a proper challenge and creates a lot of debate. Good luck to everyone who enters. There can only be one prize winner but I will be satified if I get 50/50.
I have now tried to enter via the online ridiculous form. Every time you enter text a button comes up labelled 'Choose'. If you click it, your text gets inserted above, but the screen refreshes back to the top, probably to ram home 'Birds Eye' 50 times, and you have to scroll down to the next entry space. When I'd done all that (copying and pasting from my own list to save typing), you had to select how often you read the Radio Times and click a Submit button. When I hovered over that I got a No Entry sign and nothing happened. All that work for nothing! If you see this within the next 25 mins to the deadline, use the alternative email address given, as I had to.
Dave-W: It looks like it's closed now, but if you tabbed after clicking on'choose' it took you to the next field. They also, late in the comp, added the option to enter via email.
