I am currently completing an application at a Hospital Trust and one of the questions I have to answer in 150 words is: "We expect all of our staff to embrace the Trust values and our commitment to delivery of high quality services to our patients. Can you give an example of how you have demonstrated our values?"
What sort of answer are they looking for please? Any help will be gratefully received. Thank you.

Think of a situation where there was maybe a lot of things going on maybe involving different priorities. Did you identify there was a situation involving a high priority? Did you take ownership of it rather than pass it on to another person/section? Did you say you would get something done within a set time frame and stick to it? Did you need to involve others to...

First you need to research the Trusts' values, they are likely on their webpage and will be listed. Check them through and then give a good example of something you have done that reflects one of them.
well it'll rather depend on what their values are!
I would check out if the trust has a mission statement or what they write about themselves and use this as a source for your answer at least it will show you have same values

The values are:
1. We treat people how we would like to be treated
2. We do what we say we are going to do
3. We focus on what matters most
4. We are one team and we are best when we work together
5. We are passionate and creative in our work

I am not very good at answering these sort of questions as I can never think of an example of how I have demonstrated these values

You could say how you look out for and help elderly neighbours.
Write down each question on a sheet of A4 paper and relax and reflect on your past experiences and jot some notes down on each page as they come to you. Don't have to do it all at once, then put the best together in 150 words, will not be difficult
What exactly is the role you're applying for?
Think of a situation where there was maybe a lot of things going on maybe involving different priorities.

Did you identify there was a situation involving a high priority?

Did you take ownership of it rather than pass it on to another person/section?

Did you say you would get something done within a set time frame and stick to it?

Did you need to involve others to get the right outcome?

Did you check to make sure they understood why it was a high priority?

Did you make sure the promised outcome was met and in time?

Have you identified points in a process that could be improved upon? What was it and How did you improve It?

You need to show how you went above and beyond what a lot of folk would have done in the same situation.

Imagine someone on benefit 'phones up and says a something is wrong and it turns out it WAS.

Some may say they'll change it and e-mail the appropriate section and the person would need to wait for a few days for it to be actioned and payment to be received.

Some may change it, 'phone the section manager, tell them they will receive an e-mail confirming the change, say why it is urgent, ask if the payment can be released the same day, ask when it will be received and then let the claimant know.

It helps if the example is job-related but it needn't be, mind.
