Windows 2000 Professional+SP4 Boot Problem

For last few days I am facing problem with startup of my system installed Windows 2000 Professional + SP4.

The problem is, system does not boot in first attempt. It starts and restart 5 to 6 times and then finally boots perfectlly.

Suggestion to fix the problem is requested.

If I were a betting man I would put money on the hard drive failing. Backup all your stuff immediately!

Thanks Dear j2buttonsw, you tried your best to respond to my query but this is not the response, as my system is only 3 months old. There is nothing like old or corrupt media, benchmark utility has proven my contention.

Anyway thanks for yoyr efforts.
