Buying a field
4 Answers
I would like to buy a field or small plot of land - not for building - but for possible planting of veg / fruit as part of small catering business. I am not too sure where to start looking - can anyone help?

Allotments would be a good start. You can get a surprising amount of produce off them. You can have more than one.
Are you sure you could cope with a whole field? Single fields don't come up for sale very often and if they do undoubtedly you'll be bidding against someone (with a lot of money) who wants a pony paddock.
Have you considered rent/lease? You could approach local farmers and see if you could rent a part of a field for some years.
