I refer you all to Wednesday's edition of 'Pointless' - unusually all 8 competitors were 'yoof' (or nearly so).

Asked to name an EU country 3 of the 8 offered Norway, Moldova and Albania - all definitely not in the EU ... and most of the others couldn't get beyond Italy, France, Spain when searching for the required obscure answers.

And yet I bet they all think that ignorant older people have #ruinedourlives

[ yes I know it's anecdotal and a stereotype - but the reason things are stereotypical is that ... they are often true ]

I've only just thought of this but my daughters starts as a teacher quite soon...will she become all 'right on' in a year or so? :0/

To be fair, that is a very easy mistake to make......
Montenegro, while not in the EU, uses the euro as currency, whilst Croatia, bang next door, is in the EU but doesn't use the euro as currency.
I got really confused when visiting both.
