Hi, a friend is thinking of relocating with her job to Plymouth. She has been looking at houses down there, can anyone advise on any nice areas to live, near or in Plymouth, or also perhaps some not so nice places so she knows where to avoid. Thanks !

The Barbican is a decent place to live and there's a decent night club there"Destinys" but avoid Stonehouse and union street.The shopping should be good ,when they finish rebuiding the Town centre.Im afraid I dont know about the other areas of plymouth,but Im sure the local estate agents will help,goodluck to your friend..(:-)

Swilly is the place to avoid - if they haven't blown it up yet!! As Vinny said, Union Street - I got a kicking there once on a saturday afternoon - gang of 15! Those were the days!!
