Text Messag Earlier Today.

From Morrisons saying I had won third prize in their Christmas competition.
I had won a stores gift card worth £1000. I had to respond to the message so I did it on line as not good doing things on mobile. Very rarely use it.
I had o complete a small survey,
They asked how I wanted to receive the card and I said by post.
The thing froze. I phoned Morrisons head office and they said it's a scam!!
What a bummer!!

Re my post @ 09:52 on Monday. I logged into my Caboodle account after posting and asked if the email was genuine. My reply - a £10 book token - has just arrived in the mail. :-/// Still not gonna click on links in emails, though.

Yes, jno, i could do with more of these rather than the 'Ken, date a beautiful Russian girl' emails!! Can't really understand why Caboodle didn't put a message on my account page as well as the email. Bet 365 do so as do my bank.

I'm so sorry to hear that you were scammed Caran. What a cruel thing.

I think we have to bear in mind, that unless we have entered a particular competition, then there is no way we can be notified of winning a prize. Any notification of being told we have won a prize in a competition we have not entered is almost certainly a scam.

In your case, you did the right thing in ringing Morrisons head office.
