Adding Another Browser

My Yahoo Mail is changing on the 31st January to a new updated version (wish they would leave things alone). I have rec'd notification to change to another browser Chrome or Firefox because the IE 11 will not support the new mail.

If I were to download one of the two above can I still use my IE for other things? I know a lot of the techies don't like IE but I'm used to it, I don't want to get rid when I'm not sure of other browsers.

Thanks for any help you can give me... and where is the best site to download the other browser from please? I have Windows 8.1 with classic 7 shell.

I use two browsers without any problems (Firefox and Safari) so I would think you'll be OK.

You can have as many browsers installed as you wish. The only time I use a Microsoft browser these days is to download Chrome and Firefox to install on a new computer.

Firefox (my preferred browser) can be downloaded from https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/
Chrome (which I also use for some things) can be downloaded from https://www.google.com/chrome/
Another one I use form time to time is Opera which can be downloaded from https://www.opera.com/computer
