Either a faulty disc or some kind of different encoding or protection on the original source.

To expand on CrapAtCryptics answer, if you are trying to copy a commercial DVD it is probably copy-protected to prevent piracy. There used to be software available to get around that but I don't know if there still is.

Maybe wrong type of DVD you are currently trying to copy onto?

My guess is that the software/hardware has an issue with reading the source disc sector 883104.
