Is it possible to find out if anyone has requested a credit report about yourself, e.g. from Experian or Equifax?
I know you can ask for your credit references from these companies, but does it show if others have made a similar request?

The only companies that can get a credit report are finance companies and only with your permission.

When you request a copy of your own report, you will see who has searched you (in the last 12 months), when they searched and for what purpose (eg loan, credit card etc). It will also give you the companies contact details.
